As Summer wanes...

Summer in interior Alaska is fading slowly - there's a hint of a Fall-ish feeling already! We've had a beautiful summer - could use a little more rain for the too many wildfires west of us. The Fireweed blooms are about half way to the top of the flower - means fall weather's here when the top blooms! The wind blew yellow leaves off our trees - not a good sign. So many things need to be done before the first week of September when snow can arrive anytime after.

Hubby says there's smoke coming out of the sewing room as my sewing machines are humming along.... LOL! Been really busy with Hooded Towels lately and a slew of Heavy Long Drool Bibs. I'm happy to provide a much needed item to many special needs kids of all ages.

The Christmas order rush will be starting in less than 2 months and Gramma has to be ready. Order early!

I have some Larger Hooded Towels for older kids available and more colors coming as soon as I can locate them. You asked for them!

Wow! I've been SOOOO Busy!

I can't believe it's been so long since I've dropped in here.... After my last post, the Christmas rush started and it got really busy in Gramma's sewing room. I'll try to do better and get a few new things up here. I'm slightly not as busy, but I think Gramma's site has caught on all over. So much to do.... so little Gramma time....

In October, our #7 Grandbaby, a Granddaughter, was born. We got a pic from Christmas of Devyn Aurora yesterday. She lives far away from Alaska - we hope to visit soon!

It's been a really cold winter here in Alaska. We saw -56 degrees F about a month ago, in early January I think it was. But the days are getting longer now and soon we will have 24 hour daylight!!!

I'll check in periodically if I can escape the sewing room... but in the meantime come visit my website where I update it almost daily. I'm still kicking!

A little different...

This is a close-up of some of my Pansies - so pretty - they get a lot of long Alaskan sun. We have to enjoy it while we can.



Hoping to pick some wild Alaskan blueberries soon for some yummy jam for the long winter. Lots of chores to get done during the summer before it gets cold.

Busy, Busy

The days are getting shorter here in Alaska as we wind down to Fall & Winter. It's always scary how fast the 24 hour daylight comes and then leaves!

This is starting off as an experiment of sorts - a place Gramma can gab if I need to, list some new things on my site and I ask you to comment, good or bad, keeping it clean and on a friendly basis.
